Things to Do

When you’re in town, one of the first things you’ll want to do is visit the Kincardine Lighthouse. It was originally constructed in 1881 and helped to guide boats within the fishing and salt shipping industry. It then became electrically powered in 1922. This lighthouse has the special designation as the only one located “downtown” out of all the Bruce Peninsula lighthouses. It’s one of the highlights of the town and makes for an awesome photo opportunity.

Got an animal lover in your group? Be sure to visit Bervie Zoological Park! You’ll get to be up close and personal with majestic animals like tigers, Patagonian cavy, Bennet wallabies, English fallow deer, ring-tailed lemurs, African lions, and so many others!

The friendly staff can show you around the park and teach you anything you’d like to know about the amazing creatures before you.

For a relaxing drink with your friends, head to Grey Matter Beer Company. This brewery and taproom combination has been open since 2018 and has quickly become a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike. They’ve always got creative and unique brews on tap, so everyone in your group can find their ideal drink. They can even recommend a drink for you if you’re not sure which one you’d like!

Want to stay active while you’re in town? Head to Ainsdale Golf Course for an incredible game right on the shores of Lake Huron. The greens here present a course that’s fun yet challenging for all skill levels, so everyone in your group can join in. Be sure to visit the newly renovated clubhouse to experience the restaurant and bar after your 18 holes are through!
