Beautiful cottage on a lovely lake. The photos do not do this cottage justice. The living room/dining area look out over the lake. There are many decks around the cottage although this also makes for many stairs from the water to the cottage. It’s fine but not appropriate if stairs are a difficulty. The bedrooms are all upstairs (no musty basement sleeping). Separate kitchen upstairs and two bathrooms. Three refrigerators in total (upstairs, kitchen and garage) which is amazing. We had a small boat which was easily launched at the nearby marina (0.5 km). Our only complaint was the paddle boat was still broken (written in a previous review). It is such a disappointment for the kids and should be removed from the amenities if it’s not being fixed. The water cooler has been replaced and bottled water can be purchased at the Hardware store in Pointe au Baril (as well as practically anything else you may need). All in all, a beautiful cottage, a beautiful location, and a fun family vacation!!

This cottage has a spectacular lake view and fantastic patio. Three bed rooms face to the lake which have a marvelous sunrise view. We really enjoyed the quiet mornings with birds singing. The living room has a perfect view looking out to the water. The five bedrooms upstairs were nicely divided into two sections, 3 in the front and 2 bedrooms in the back which has their own kitchenette and washroom.
We brought our own kayak and also rented a boat from the marina just within minutes away. We did have lots of fun with outdoor activities, fishing, boating and even jumping into the lake in middle of September, haha, It was cold, but it’s all part of fun.
However, we were not too keen about inside cottage, honestly it needs some work. We brought several large bottled waters but water dispenser is not working. We had to pour out drinking water from these large containers because the bottles would not connect to the dispenser. There was no advanced notice of this issue. We have rented several cottages in past years, and sadly this cottage was was short on many standard amenities. Luckily, a small community just south called Point au Baril to which we had to make many additional purchases to supplement unexpected shortfalls. One of the bedroom has a mirror hanging beside the bed, looking old and dirty and should be replaced, The shower curtains could definitely be Changed from time to time. ….Overall, I guess We expected more considering what we paid, or at least more comparable to other cottages of the same caliber. The disappointments continued with the paddle boat. When we started to take it out of the garage, we discovered the paddle shaft had been broken at some time previous to our visit. Sadly the kids lost out on an activity they had been looking forward to. Again advertised, but not usable. All things considered, we enjoyed our week, but were not completely satisfied when comparing advertised to actual.
