This property is located on an island. The owners will pick you up with their pontoon and ferry you across to the island. Pick up and return times will be pre-scheduled according to occupancy and usually run every 3 hours, the first trip usually starting around 10:00 am. If special trips are required, a fee applies and must be requested ahead of time. Further details on how to schedule your pontoon will be provided when you receive your digital guest book 30 days prior to your arrival.
This cottage is 3 bedrooms and provides all the amenities of home but on a beautiful sandy beach. The kids will not be bored here. Spend the day outside at the beach and exploring Lake Nipissing on all the water toys provided.

LODGE SERVICES
- This property is located on an island. The owners will pick you up with their pontoon and ferry you across to the island. - Parking is available on the mainland for 2 vehicles.
- Water is not potable on the island, you have to bring your own water. Water can be picked up on your behalf at cost. This can be arranged when you are scheduling your check-in time.
- Firewood is provided for a fee. This can be arranged when you are scheduling your check-in time.
- There are docking slips on the island and are subject to availability. There is an additional fee for this. If you need a slip please inquire at the time of booking.
- Boat Rentals: Fishing boats come with a 9.9 hp motor. Rates are $75/hour, $200/day or $475/week. Weekly rentals include gas. Gas can be purchased. This can be arranged when you are scheduling your check-in time.
SHORELINE
- Sandy beach with gradual entry. It is pebbly for 10 ' upon entry and then beautiful hard-packed sand. The beach is shared with other guests of the island, however everyone has some personal space in front of their cottage.
CHILD SAFETY ISSUES
- No apparent child safety issues.
PRIVACY RATING
- Three stars out of Five: The cottage is located on Oak Island and is one of five cottages that along with the owners home and lodge, make up Oak Island Lodge & Beach Retreat. All 5 cottages (1405/1406/1407/1408/1409) are available to rent.
DOCKING FACILITIES
- Docking facilities on site subject to availability. Please ask at the time of booking. Maximum boat length of 22'.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS
- Cottage is not designed for wheel chair access.
LIMITATIONS
- Individuals 16 years of age or older count as adults.
- Pets are not permitted.
- Renters are responsible to do a full clean of the cottage (cleaning supplies provided) and remove all garbage/recycling at the end of the rental period. If this is not done cleaning/garbage disposal fees will be charged. Please see full cleaning list HERE.
