What a beautiful private spot. We had a wonderful week getaway where we had total privacy, solitude and relaxation. The amazing colours of the water captivated our attention from the moment we arrived. The natural shoreline is definitely rocky, but with sturdy water shoes we spent many hours walking in the water, relaxing on the rocks in the water, and just taking in the amazing views. The kayaks are easy to to use, and the waters are quite calm which added to the stay.
The cottage was perfect for a week’s getaway providing most comforts from home in this idyllic setting. Relaxing in front of the water overlooking the cove, sometimes felt like we were off in an exotic foreign land. All this on Georgian Bay!
If I had any comments they would be:
1. The wicker furniture is not comfortable to sit/lay on watching a movie or just relaxing indoors. The kitchen table as well, is hard to get your legs under. Perhaps some upgrades to the furniture would make this special place even cozier.
2. The view is so exceptional, the trees and most greenery are overgrown and obstruct a good portion of the view off the sitting area and from inside the cottage. Trimming back and shaping would help open up a little, but still keep the privacy. Planting some natural insect repellent perennials around the sitting area would be wise, such as Citronella, Lavender etc.
We will return to Turquoise, thereare not many places once can be so close to everything ,YET feel so far away.
