Please Note: The water levels in Ontario have been fluctuating in recent years. Therefore, some of the photographs of shorelines/beaches on this website may not fully reflect current waterfront conditions.
-
An 1100 square foot, 3 bedroom cottage located on the Otonabee River, near Rice Lake and an easy 20 minute drive from Peterborough.
-
The kids will enjoy the ample yard space in front of and behind the cottage to play and run around. The lawn goes right up to the shore of the Otonabee River where there are natural grasses and vegetation growing along the riverfront. The base of the river is rock and silt, and is not ideal for swimming. The river is popular for fishing and wildlife, or for paddling if you bring along your own canoe or kayak.
-
For avid boaters and anglers, Rice Lake offers excellent fishing of perch, bass, muskie, walleye and more. There are various marinas and boat rentals around the lake so the drive time varies. There is however a marina with dock and boat launch in the community of Peterborough for those of you with boats of your own.
-
Peterborough, with its shops, restaurants and entertainment is just a 20 minute drive north. Check out the Ganaraska Forest for treetop trekking or hiking activities in the area, or stop by The Canadian Canoe Museum to see what you can learn.
