Please Note: The water levels in Ontario have been fluctuating in recent years. Therefore, some of the photographs of shorelines/beaches on this website may not fully reflect current waterfront conditions.

This beautiful three bedroom, 1440 Sq Ft waterfront cottage is located on a quiet dead-end road at the tip of the Bruce, on the dividing line between Georgian Bay and Lake Huron.
Trees surrounding the cottage provide a lovely private setting. There are two decks on the property. The large wooden deck located on the lake side of the cottage is a perfect place to sit and have your wake-up coffee in the morning sun. There is a patio table which seats 6 with a large umbrella for shade. The large new lakeside deck sits in the sun by midday and is a wonderful place to relax, read and eat your meals while watching the waves roll in. This deck has patio furniture for your relaxation. There are 7 Muskoka Chairs on the property. A beautiful view of Lake Huron and the evening sunsets are a sight to behold from this deck!
Just 100 metres off shore (in frontof cottage) there is a shipwreck you can explore by kayak or snorkeling.
Tobermory is short distance away (9 km). You can stroll through the shops, visit the library, restaurants and see the beautiful natural harbour. Scenic boat cruises to view shipwrecks and lighthouses are available daily and a trip to Flowerpot Island is a must for all who visit! Dinner cruises aboard the Chi-Cheemaun are also very popular and if that's not to your liking, there are many places to eat in town where you can watch the beautiful sunsets and converse with friends.

Not as advertised

By: Trip Date: 08/09/2020

This property is NOT as advertised. The cottage itself is as expected… wear and tear that should be fixed and needs a THOROUGH cleaning, but nonetheless, it’s a cottage. The property however is nowhere near what the pictures show. It is overgrown and in-cared for. There is little to no view from the deck, absolutely none from the fire pit and the sunset deck is being encroached on by trees. To get into the water you also have to go through the trees. When I brought this up to the company and also the owner, they claimed they, “didn’t know about the state of the property.” I believe this shows how much the property is cared for.

In addition to the horrible grounds (worst looking grounds on the entire street when ‘viewed’ from the lake), the hot tub is filthy and with broken parts— not worth it!

When sitting out at night, be careful of the
millions of spiders that have also taken over due to lack of care from the owner.

After my stay mid-August (for my rearranged honeymoon no less), I contacted the company with my concerns. They said they were taking new photos of this property. After waiting Over a month to see the new photos, alas they aren’t posted. I thought it best at this point to warn other cottage-goers and encourage you to find a DIFFERENT property to stay at!

The best part about this stay was the shipwreck in the WATER. There are multiple other rental properties along this shore with access to that— and they have better properties and more well-cared for cottages!
