Cross Country Skiing

Cross country skiing in the Bruce Peninsula is a great way to spend the day with your family and get a good workout at the same time! Many local companies offer ski rental packages, so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own equipment. You can head out through the forests on your own or embark on a lesson or guided tour.

Cross country skiing can be a great option if you’ve got a family with kids or members who aren’t quite ready for the more intense ski trips.

Ski Lion’s Head

Lion’s Head is a fun little town in the Bruce Peninsula that offers excellent skiing conditions in the wintertime. EcoAdventures Bruce Peninsula has experienced guides that lead Ski Lion’s Head tours, perfect for exploring the best skiing spots in town. This experience is a bit challenging and isn’t recommended for total beginners, but if you’re already comfortable skiing, you’re in for a blast! You’ll be taken through the stunning terrain of the hardwood forest and will get an unmatched view of the area. Another great option for skiing nearby is Blue Mountain in Collingwood.

Snowshoe the Grotto

Another popular offering from EcoAdventures Bruce Peninsula is their Snowshoe the Grotto excursion. This trek takes guests through Bruce Peninsula State Park to the iconic Grotto, all with the help of your trusty snowshoes to help you along. Your guide will take you past beautiful lakes and rugged cliffs, pointing out the most incredible wildlife along the way. You’re welcome to bring your own snowshoes or let EcoAdventures provide them for you!

Snowmobiling

Want to explore the Bruce Peninsula and satisfy your craving for adrenaline? Head out on a snowmobile! There are more than 2,000 kilometers of trails for you to explore as you ride past the Niagara Escarpment, journey through the expansive farmland, and discover the various shorelines of the area. You can purchase your trail pass online ahead of time so you’re already ready to go when you get here!
