This 1200sq ft cottage, located steps from the Lake, is the perfect family vacation getaway. Salerno Lake is nestled in an area of absolute tranquility, beautiful wilderness and is only 2 hours north of Toronto.
The cottage was built in 2004. It is a perfect combination of a new build with a cute and cozy cottage atmosphere. The cottage has lots of windows, which makes it bright and shows off the amazing views of the lake. You can enjoy watching the sunset from in the cottage, or you can head down to the shoreline to experience it right from the waters edge.
The cottage is open concept, which allows the water
view to be enjoyed from all living spaces. There is a fully equipped
kitchen, with all the conveniences of home. The kitchen table will
seat 6 people. Enjoy a family meal in the screened in porch that
seats 8 people. The living area has lots of comfortable funiture
and a 33'' TV. You can take advantage of the satellite or watch
a DVD. On those cool nights you have the opportunity to enjoy the
warmth and scent of the woodstove.
This cottage has three bedrooms for your family
to spread out. The first two bedrooms have queen beds. The third
bedroom has a single/double bunk bed. There is also a bunkie on
the Lake that has a fridge, ceiling fan and double bed. This can
be used as an extra bedroom.
The cottage has one bathroom with a tub, shower toilet and sink. There is also an outdoor cedar shower to use, which will give you the ultimate cottage experience.
Enjoy a fire in the outdoor fire pit. Your family
will love having a marshmallow roast under the big beautiful stars,
without any city lights obstructing the views.
You will get lots of use out of your own large dock
with plenty of seating, or cool off in the Lake on those hot summer
There are 65 stairs from parking lot to the cottage
and 60 stairs to the lake. They zig zag back and forth which makes
them easy to use.
Salerno Lake is home to Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth
Bass, Perch, Walleye, and Muskie. For the kids, it also has Rock
Bass, Sunfish, and Crayfish. It is also not uncommon to see Moose
and other wildlife in this area.
