This well maintained, cozy waterfront cottage is located on Georgian
Bay at Victoria Harbour just a short drive from downtown Midland,
Penetanguishene and Waubashene.
The 660 sq ft, two bedroom, one bathroom traditional Georgian Bay
waterfront cottage offers panoramic water views and provides you
with a relaxing space to get away from it all.
The cottage features 40 feet of private sandy shoreline, a large
grassed yard with firepit, waterfront deck with patio furniture,
a 50 foot long dock and beautiful morning sunrises. The perfect
spot for lazy days in the sun while taking occasional dips in the
bay or heading out to enjoy the many local events and attractions.
Inside the cottage you will find a bright open dining and living
room area with plenty of windows including a picture window in the
dining area where you can take in the water views while enjoying
your meal. The dining table seats six persons.
The living room features a vaulted pine ceiling with fan to help
circulate air on warmer days and there is a futon couch, comfy sofa
and chair for relaxing, 32" TV (3 stations), DVD player and
radio for your enjoyment. The compact but efficient kitchen includes
fridge and freezer, stove and oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker,
tea pot, kettle, pots and pans and cutlery.
The cottage has two bedrooms, each with a double bed. The three-piece
bathroom offers a sink, toilet and shower.
Outside its just a short stroll to the water. The waterfront deck
is the perfect spot to marvel at the beautiful morning sunrises,
take in the fresh air and panoramic water views, catch some rays,
relax with a good book and enjoy your favourite holiday beverage.
There is a propane BBQ at the cottage for grilling your summer feasts.
There is also a firepit overlooking the water for evening campfires,
roasting marshmallows, taking in the starry night sky and sharing
The shore is a great spot to launch your canoe or kayak if you have
one. If not there is a paddle boat that you can use to explore the
bay where the water is calm. The shoreline at the cottage is sandy
and the water depth increases gradually.
Spend the day splashing around in the water or just laze away the
days on your summer holiday.
This cottage is the perfect place to relax but if want to get out
and explore the area, the cottage is also a great location to enjoy
day trips. It’s a 15 minute drive to Waubashene, 20 minutes
to Midland and 25 minutes to Penetanguishene where you will find
plenty of shopping, dining, and sightseeing opportunities. You are
about 30 minutes from Awenda Provincial Park with several beautiful
and natural beaches on the Georgian Bay shoreline, hiking and biking
trails, and relaxing picnicking opportunities. Golf at one of several
local golf courses, experience the 30,000 Islands with a trip on
the Miss Midland or the Georgian Queen with both sightseeing and
dinner cruises available.
Visit some of the many historically significant and interesting
sites: the Martyr's Shrine, St. Marie-Among-the-Hurons - a restored
native village, Discovery Harbour - a 19th century British military
base with tall ships, King's Warf Theatre to take in a live play,
Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre and Elmvale Zoo - great fun for kids,
the Tay and Tiny hiking and biking trails.
