This adorable cottage is located on a quality, paved, dead-end road which is fully maintained as a school bus route. It is only 8 km from the town of Wiarton with it's library, churches of all faiths, stores, restaurants, and Bluewater Park with it's sandy beach and children's playground.
It is only a 20 minute drive to Sauble Beach, and a 50 minute drive to the Bruce Peninsula National Park.
The main living area of the cottage consists of a large living area surrounded by a wall of windows overlooking Colpoy's Bay. You can enjoy the open concept living area, kitchen, and dining table all together on the main floor of the cottage.
Your "home" has a fully equipped kitchen, this includes a fridge, stove, and microwave oven. A nice sized dining table seats six people comfortably and provides a great place to enjoy dinner while overlooking Georgain Bay.
The grounds are level between the cottage and the road. The manicured lawn is great for games. Relax in an Adirondack chair on the lakeside deck or lakeside dock at the water's edge. The dock is 16 feet in length and provides a panoramic view of Colpoys Bay.
Two bedrooms are located inside the cottage, the master bedroom has a spectacular view of the other side of colpoys bay and the Niagara Escarpment.
A three piece washroom with shower is also located here.
Bring your binoculars for a superb bird watching. Hummingbird, Baltimore Oriole, Gold Finch, Cardinal, Blue jay, as well as some wood peckers are just a few of the local species. You may even see a bald headed eagle fishing in the Bay.
Explore the harbor of Colpoys Bay as a family, with the two kayaks and canoe provided, paddle into the Wiarton Marina and have a play at the playground with the kids.
You are located 300 meters away from great hiking trails on the Bruce trail. There is also great cycling on the quiet paved road that provides access to the cottage.
You will revel in the beautiful sunrises as the reflections bounce on the water. In the evening, you will want to watch the Niagara Escarpment as the setting sun paints it with pinks and reds. The moon rises are majestic and reflect the pristine waters of Colpoy's Bay.
Enjoy your BBQ dinner on the deck while watching the sail, fishing, and pleasure boats cruise Colpoy's Bay.
