This cottage was wonderful and fulfilled all of our needs as two vacationing families. There was so much space for everyone to spread out so it never felt cramped. The kitchen was fully stocked and we didn’t miss anything. We were surprised when we arrived on Saturday to find the front yard was a parking lot where the owners charged people to park there but it cleared out by early evening and no one parked there the rest of the week. The beach is a 1 minute walk away and you can even see the water over the dunes from the front yard- the location is the best part. The backyard needs to be landscaped again because the patio stones are not level which make them a tripping hazard particularly for people who have mobility issues or young toddlers. This made me nervous around the fire pit each night because the fire was not contained in a ring and an accident could happen. We loved the extra shed attached to the bunkie where we could store our paddle boards for the night. The beds were comfortable for sleeping. The upstairs really isn’t like two bedrooms, it’s more of a bedroom and a loft because there is no privacy in the one room. The small window air conditioner up there didn’t work well but luckily the weather was cooler that week so it was bearable with all of the extra fans they provided. The cottage is older so the floors were a bit wonky. The outdoor shower was a lifesaver with everyone coming back from the beach, it definitely helped to keep the sand out of the cottage. I would recommend Lakeshore to any potential renters and may even be back next summer myself!
